nice to see that poor truck finally get some more love Frank...you ever get the skin fixed? LOL!! We are working on it bro. We are taking our time with this project to make sure everything goes well. Got the skin sitting in my room but havent decided what route to go for rear lights yet. I may change it up from LED's to something else. I bought a brand new truck about 2 months ago so now I have a daily to roll in while I work on my ride. I got a brand new 2008 Toyota Tundra! I love this truck man! It is one of the best trucks out in the market and won the 2008 motor trend award. It pulls 10k pounds as well so when I move I can put the s10 on the trailer and roll out to my next duty station (May 2009). Reason I bought this was because my truck cried for help. I Was driving on a bridge and next thing you know BOOM!! The SMC water trap exploded on me. Truck was close to 200 psi so it took about ohh 4 seconds to be layed out. Ryan came out to help since I was so pissed and had no tools (Thanks again homie!). Never in 4 years has anything like this happened to my mini truck. It needs some tender care again and we are giving it what it deserves.

so I guess the decision is to stock floor it under the cab, then cut the bed and use original bed mounts, or are you going to go all the way back on the SF?

cool... you will need to notch and box the cab floor behind the driver seat to make the gas tank fit right. Milky has some picks in his thread on S10f showing how he did his... it worked out well for him.

Milky has some picks in his thread on S10f showing how he did his... it worked out well for him. Yup we already thought of this! When we modified the gas tank x member we thought about notching the inside of the cab. I have a step in the back of the cab already so notching it to clear will be a breeze. Biggest thing myself and ryan have been thinking and planning out is building the frame to the point where all that gets cut is the tranny tunnel and the gas tank area. Looking at most builds...it seems alot of guys have issues on the front frame area near the firewall hitting the cab once everything is dropped. We got an idea on how to make it clear without cutting the floor boards out in front of the drivers side and pass side seats.

make sure to move the cab back about 1/2 of an inch to get the wheels to center in the fenders, then gap the bed closer to the cab...
as for the front, I'd build my frame up and cut that excess away before plating it up and you should be able to clear without cutting the floor too much. I don't see any way around not modifying the mounts a bit at the floor though...
