So I traded my S10 for a new project. For trade I got a 2004 KX250 dirtbike which I will be selling for funding once I get the title in the mail and a 1983 Toyota. The Toy was pretty beat so I stripped it down and scrapped it. It had 42" swampers, dual transfer cases, crossover steering, 22re conversion (with a valve imbeded into a piston) and rock sliders. Then picked up a 1986 4Runner that I will swap all the parts onto. Here is the plan: Fresh built 22re Solid axle conversion Toyota rear springs in the front Wagoneer springs in the rear Cross over steering Welded rear end Rock sliders Flat bottom (will have to weld in a tunnel for the tranny and transer cases) 35-37 inch tires (havent choosen yet) Heres the pics: KX250 Toy before stripping it: 4runner (and testing Dougs welding skills on my notches):

I want to rush into this project and get it going quick but I still have to finish my stereo in my Silverado and the wife is already complaining about all the time I spend in the garage lately.

Well if you have to choose focus on that stereo for Lowdown man! You only have 2.5 months. And if you ever want some extra hands working on this thing you know I work and live near by!

Got a bunch of parts from sky manufacturing. Front and rear axel truss', solid axel front crossmember and frame tubes, rear shock tower and tabs. I also disassembeled the engine and took the parts to the machine shop. Ended up needing to do a complete rebuild. Throwing in a 260 grind cam. I should get it all back on Tuesday and reassemble it next weekend.

Update Pics! Engine is completely rebuilt. Ready to put in. 260 grind cam, cylinders are bored .40 over, polished stainless header. Started the solid axle swap. Cut off all the independant suspension and cleaned up the frame. Lots of plasma and grinding there. Leftover parts Need to weld in the filler plates for the engine mounts still. Cut the holes in the frame for the frame tubes. Need to weld them in still. Front hanger bolted in place. Needs to be welded still. And I also picked up my 36" Iroks

Update, Finnaly got the front end put all on. Took me a while to come up with a leaf spring pack. Ended up making a custom one out of a 85 toy rear pack and a 93 rear pack. I still need to move the steering box forward and also mount the shock hoops. I would like to weld all the way across the front hanger but my welder wasnt cutting it with that huge gap. It looks crooked in the first pic but it isnt. Toys normally lean to the drivers side so I added a 3/8" spacer on the pack to even it out.
