My truck is a weekend toy during the summers only and because of the drag the AC puts on the littlre 2.2 of mine, I've only ran the AC a handful of times. So, I'm thinking strongly on deleting all of that crap and really cleaning up the engine bay. I've got a couple questions though.
-Where is the heater core and how do I bypass it in the cooling system? Can it be removed without pulling the whole dash if it behind it somewhere?
-If I were to pull the blower motor and AC crap off and wait to pull the heater core till I'm ready, will I run into problems with that and will any engine codes get thrown by doing this?
Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure for the 2nd gens you have to pull the dash to get the heater core out. You can take all that stuff out, and either loop the coolant lines from the engine into each other, or just plug the ports where they come out of the engine if you can. I don't see why not having the AC/heater stuff there would throw any codes, but I couldn't tell you for sure.

Cool. Well hell, I think I just decided to pull the motor also and paint the bock and thuff While I'm at it. Damn I hate being a perfectionist some times, lol.

Haha, yea me too. The problem with me though is I know I'm a perfectionist and nothing's gonna be good enough in my eyes so I just let stuff go the way it is. LoL
