i have firestone 2500s in the front of my 01 f-150, and i just put the 4 inch djm a-arms on and now i get shit for lift. ive been told to put the slam specaltie 62s. but i just wanted to hear others oppinions. what do you think i should do to get more lift? thanks

just out of curiosity, why did you go with the arms? The DJM arms really aren't made for bags at all. What you did is lower the lower mounting point of the bag, and effectively take away useful stroke. You'll never get that lift back unless you find a way to lower the upper mount too.

i got the arms so i would lay on the ground. but since i notched the back i need to cut my wheel wells in the front to lay. i was thinking about cutting my spring pocket out and making a new bag mount lower. i know the arms arent made for bags i just welded a plate over the little spring pocket and it works fine.

You have any pics of the setup? It's kinda hard for me to visualize it, and I haven't been under a newer ford in a while. From the sounds of it though, if you're not gettign as much lift out of it as you were, you could get away with either lowering the upper mounts or raising the lower mount a bit. I'm assuming you got the controll arm strictly for frame clearance and not bag positioning. You could build a spacer for the bottom out of 5" Schedule 40 pipe, space it up an inch and a half or so, that should get you all your lift back...
