I'm not sure on my schedule for this week. I'm out of town this weekend too. Don't know, but I have a couple more things to finish up on and then bolt this shit together. I'm getting eager though.

I hear ya... I am in town until Sunday, then heading down to mom and dad's.
I'll be back early on the 4th, no fireworks down home for me... I have to be at work on the 5th, so I'll be around... I can definitely do some work on the 8th.

Thanks guys. Lol, lets just hope the tires fit, lol. I'm not cuting this work up. If I have an issue, it'll be the tires fault, lol, not mine. The tire will go before this firewall does.

what's the matter bro... i don't have you worrying about fitment do I?
just kidding... I hope to hell you do not need to tub the firewall. That would suck @$$
let me know when you want my help and I'll get there. We'll pull a couple of late nights if we have to, but shouldn't take too long to get it down on four wheels with suspension and all.
BTW, I did not see picks of the steering linkage, swaybar, etc, are you going to paint those up too?
Also, do you have a bearing packer for those front bearings? I've got a 3/4 full container of bearing grease you can use (used it when I did my front end)
By the way, that frame almost looks too pretty to lay on the pavement...

Haaaaahaaaaa!!!!!!!!! I know about the frame. I'm like, "geese after all that I don't have the heart to de-virgin the frame paint just yet. Hell, I'll proably lay a moving blanket down under the frame rails when I test the suspension in thr garage to keep from messing it up. No way in hell this is getting dragged. Maybe a drag block or hitch ball but this frame and seeing the ground unless I'm parking it.
As far as the steering linkages and stuff. I have just enough of the chassis black paint paint it all up nice. I'll probably pull the linkages apart so I can mask off the nuts and tie rod ends. I'd hate to have the paint seal the items together and never get it undone if ball joints wear out. I have a bearing packer and grease. I just have the drums and the steering linkage left to paint. I need to sand blast the drums though. I'll probably do that Wed. Then I need to get the rear tires mounted. Only the fronts are ready to go. I just bought some fittings today at lunch with ball valves so that I can play with the air ride off the compressor after it plumbed.

damn bro, you should of called, I would of helped even if it wasn't a weekend... it looks sweet, I can tell you that. Sorry to hear about the girl being sick, that sucks.
That shock mount shit sucks ass... any chance you could cut that mother off, and relocate the mounting of the shock up and under the LCA? I know you'll have to repaint the LCA,s but it is a much better solution than chopping the frame there...

That shock mount shit sucks ass... any chance you could cut that mother off, and relocate the mounting of the shock up and under the LCA? I know you'll have to repaint the LCA,s but it is a much better solution than chopping the frame there... Already got it solved. I talked to Avtek and if I cut the shock tab off and relocat it to the underside of the tube for the LCA then it'll clear and give me more drop than I need, lol. Well, atleast till the tire kisses the firewall but, when that happens the skid plate would be on the deck anyway. No biggie, easy fix. Repainting the arm with be the hardest part about this. Well shiyt, what are you gonna do? Its # 50 of my list of 300 items to do to this thing so I'm pushing the fix off for a little bit. I'll move forward with plumbing and redesigning the entire brake system. I need some 2 psi and 10 psi check valves, prop valve and metering valve to do the new brakes. I might just pick up a new chrome master and prop valve combo I found. Would look pimp shit.
