Couple more pics of the Maz...rear is done minus a couple tabs for brake lines. We got the shock mounts taken care of last weekend, came out pretty nice.

How do you drop the exhaust? Or better yet, how do you drop the tranny without dropping the exhaust? I've also had this question in mind, just never have asked.

The crossmember is actually welded in, so no dropping of the exhaust is necessary There's actually enough room to unbolt the trans and slide it back far enought to drop the converter and drop it down....or we can pull the motor/trans out as a whole...we've done that a few times already..lol

I was actually considering building my tranny crossmember for the blazer in a similar manner, but have it bolt in and platable in a way that I can remove the exhaust prior to dropping the tranny... don't know if that makes sense, but once I get started on this new frame I'll show you what I am referring to. Sucks having to pull the entire motor and tranny though... guess I'm a little on the lazy side ;D
