bret...It's still gonna be a few more days, probably more like tuesday or wednesday. I mounted/remounted the upper bars 3 times yesterday to get the angles where I liked them, and got started on the lowers. Building all the tabs and brackets by hand is kinda time consuming. I've got a couple pics of the uppers tacked in, and the lowers where they will be, give or take. Kari's down with another freakin migraine tonite..that makes 4 this week. She was supposed to go with my daughter to the puyallup fair to see Sugarland and some other country stuff. She ended up sending Alex with her grandparents and going to bed...... 4-link should be finished up tomorrow night, then notch and bag mounts. Gimme a call if you've got any questions...

sweet, doug, do you have any days off? if so, would it maybe be on tuesday or monday? if it is, i could probably get dropped off at the ferry in the morning and come over and help and try to get it knocked out that day. might not be able to weld, but i can cut and grind.

bret, I just wanted to update you a bit on the blaze...
I got all the bars tacked in and I absolutely dont like the way the uppers are sitting right now. They're at a shotty angle, and the pinion angle goes to shit at anywhere dead on ride height. I've done pretty much everything I could to get it to work out and it just isnt. As it sits right now, the uppers need to be redone. It's looking like the best solution is going to be a wishbone, but that will bring along it's fair share of issues as well. Minor, cosmetic stuff mostly, but bag placement will be one of those. We had spoken earlier about possibly running F9000's off the top of the axle. I think that may be the best route to go. You'll get 9" or so of lift, and the ride quality is outstanding. It's up to you though...we can talk more about it...
I've got tuesday and wednesday off. I've got to make sure I can have daycare available on tuesday otherwise there's no point in you coming over. At any rate, having to re-design the uppers is a necessity, one way or the other.

let me know about the day care, i will come over no problem if you wont mind me in the way tomorrow, i can come over in the morning, at least i hope. but i am sure i can get over there, just let me know and i will find out if i can get a ride early, also, i just want it to be able to get back up to that stock height, or at least real close to it, which 9" will be close, and i don't want to blow the bag with 200psi, or end up messing it up from running high psi and trying to three wheel, at least a couple times.

not sure if this would work, but what about having the bars be mounted near the outside of the axle, and then having them angled in towards the middle, like yours is set up in your blazer, at least i think thats how its set up. then mount the bags on the bars. i just really don't want to worry bout having those bags blow, i mean, if they can take the 200psi, then i should be ok, but i have ran my tank higher than that for daily sometimes, i have driven around at 225-250, but i have to get new valves before i do that again cause the smcs freeze up at around 220, then don't un freeze till bout 180-190. but if the F9000 will be ok, then thats fine, as long as they can get the truck close to stock height.

Bret....that's probably do-able. I need to get back under there and look at it, it's just that there is alot of shit in the way, and I was shooting for the most timely way to get your blaze back to you....lol..
I'm still waiting to hear about daycare for tomorrow, I should know tonite. I'm spending tonite doing the head gasket on the orange datsun (I narrowly escaped an $800 ticket today..no good)

alright, do what will take the least, im sure i will get a good amount of lift with the 9000's,(like close to stock height) go ahead and do that if its gonna be the fastest and easiest for you to do, taking the pressure down will be good for me, especially after the control arm and bag issue i ran into, just let me know man, also let me know bout the day care, if you want i can come over and help. whatever happens, i will be on the last ferry tomorrow night to come pick it up, ok, ok......

bret...no go on the day care tomorrow I told her my days off and she planned around them last week. I did sqeeze wednesday out of her, and I'll get a couple hours in tomorrow. Tomorrow is just going to be alot of measuring and recalculating shit anyway..and taking apart the upper bars. If I can get a decent angle on them, and get all the other crap out of the way, I'll run them from the outside of the axle in, similar to mine. That would actually work out ok, as the upper bag mounts would sit alot lower...we'll see. Stupid blazers..lol.

alright man, if you can't get the bags mounted on the bars, or if the angles are just not gonna work, then go ahead and run the 9000 bags and wishbone if that will be easiest and fastest to get it out, if i don't like the lift, or if i want a couple inches more i can always modify the brackets once i get out of school, or learn enough and get a welder to make new brackets and put them in and mount some of the airgasm 13" lift bags. i just don't want it to look like the rear is air out when its fully aired up like my blazer was.

bret... no proress as of yet. My back has been pretty fucked the last 2 days..got nothing done on wed. like I wanted to. Went to the chiropractor/physical therapist, so the back is passable again, and now kari came home from work early with a migrain, threw up all over the kitchen and went to bed I was able to get out and take some measurements, and it looks like I'll be able to run the uppers in like we talked about, and if I can get some time out there tomorrow, I'll be able to get the brackets built and it all tacked in and tested...again..
